"My daughter Devin Mikailah Dickerson lived 29 years, 7 months, and 10 days on this earth, before The Lord Almighty allowed her to enter into Eternal Rest! God worked mightily in and through her to diligently complete this labor of love, "Journey to 30," which she planned to be 216 days. On January 1, 2019, Devin began committing to one entry per day until her birthday on August 5th, 2019. Her journey ended at day 72, on March 15, 2019.
Journey to 30 was so essential to my healing from the loss of Devin. As I typed her daily entries into the Word document, I felt close to her, which helped me to go on another day! During the publishing process, Devin's sons (her "Sprouts") were able to provide an illustration for each page of this book of her poetry. We, her sons and I, want to be instrumental in getting her poetry into this world to accomplish the assignment and purpose for which God was intently working in and through Devin until He called her home!
